Here are some suggestions we received from members
for the next dinners/meetings out:
Buca di Beppo - Buffalo Speedway and Westpark
Specializes in groups (with groups of 18-20 you can reserve
the "Pope room" - filled with pope memorabilia)
Italian family style dining - order platters and share them,
some vegetarian food available
Rudi Lechner's - Gessner just north of Westheimer
Live German music and buffet on Wednesday nights, festive
atmosphere, will push tables together to accomodate group
reservations
German food, don't know how large a group they can
accomodate, not much vegetarian food
We order and split appetizers if not there on a Wednesday
night. Consistently great reviews.
P F Chang's - Highland Village, Willowbrook & Westchase
locations
Groups of 14 or more welcome, not sure about special
requirements
Modern food, Chinese-style, plenty of vegetarian choices,
loud (like Molina's)
Silver Palace - Bellaire
Last time I was there, it was not well cleaned up, but there
is lots of room for groups and you
have to ask for sep. tickets before being seated.
Typical chinese buffet, cheap, not scintilating, little
ambiance, but they tolerate loud groups well
Last Concert Cafe - Nance St. Downtown warehouse
district
Live music, groups on the patio (nice weather preferred)
can be loud when bands are playing
Concert schedule listed on their web site or on citysearch -
http://houston.citysearch.com
Good old Tex-Mex - nuthin' but, queso to die for, I can hear
my arteries hardening now
Take care, Anne
